PROGRAM INTRODUCTION

Informatics is a concept that plays a very important role in the transition to the information society, which is created by using information and technology together. Informatization has several aspects. These can be classified as computer software, computer hardware, computer users and information society. The IT sector is a sector that has a share in modern transformations such as e-commerce and e-government and has great business potential. According to TUBISAD (Turkish Informatics Industrialists Association), there is an information and communication technologies (ICT) market worth 22.7 billion dollars in the world. In Turkey, there is a 9 billion dollar communication market and a 650 million dollar software market, and it is a growing sector even in times of crisis.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM

Department of Information Systems and Technologies Our students are trained in computer hardware, installation, assembly and repair of this hardware, computer networks, network technologies. Students who graduate from the department will have all the knowledge and experience related to the management and operation of computers in a data processing center or company.

Specialists are needed to spread information and communication technologies, which have become an important step in Turkey's globalization and catching up with the age, to a wide base and to promote the use of technological scientific developments in this field in Turkey and Eurasian countries. The main objective of this program is to meet the need of institutions for people who are specialized in the field of informatics in the light of the dizzying developments in information processing and technologies. Although the program in this department reflects some of the characteristics of traditional computer engineering programs, the fact that business-specific computing and technology knowledge is supported by a business background can create a wide range of employment opportunities for graduates. Thus, the program of the department aims to train students who can solve the problems encountered in terms of system design, system development, communication channels and final consumer satisfaction.

FIELDS OF STUDY

In our department, our students are trained in current software, hardware and operating technologies. This programming education covers both object-oriented software development and software development applications on the internet. In addition to software development, current operating systems, their installation and management on servers are also included in the program. Therefore, our students who will graduate equipped with practical knowledge and skills will have the opportunity to find jobs as IT specialists and managers in medium and large enterprises.

Job Areas where Graduates can work

-System designer in medium-sized enterprises,

-Information processing specialist,

-Will be able to work as a mid-level manager,
